I'm engaged! Myself and Gary Kaufmann (My high school sweetheart are getting married 6-7-08! I'm almost done with school where I will have my bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, and will soon work for Child Protective Services.

Joey Stanton (c/o 2004) and I got engaged in December of 2005 and are getting married November 2008.  We have recently just purchased a home in Portsmouth. I will be graduating from nursing school in October.  Hope everyone is doing well!! :)

Sean Begarek c/o 2004 and I got engaged in June and are planning our wedding for June of '09.  We just recently bought our first home in the Deep Creek area.  Hope every one is doing great!!
Rachel Gist

Ralph and Carol Barrett are my parents.   I played tennis for three years as the number one player, ran track for two years, and was in the band for 3 years as well playing the flute and oboe.    I now attend Columbia College in South Carolina, majoring in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Leadership and plan to graduate in Summer of 08'.    I think that is everything for now.  Thanks!  Yu are doing a great job on the website!

I am currently attending Tidewater Community College and have been working at Curves for Women for the past 9 months. I am single and have no children yet. My plans for the future is to get my Associates in Science: Science and then transfer to Old Dominion University or Va Tech. I am still working towards becoming a Vet.

I got engaged April 24 to Josh Russell of Western Branch, and we are getting married next summer on June 25, 2006.  We will be honeymooning in Cabo Mexico.

Joshua R. Hastings

CHESAPEAKE - Joshua Ryan Hastings, 22, returned to heaven Feb. 28, 2008. He passed with his beloved brother, Jason William Hastings and Jason's beloved fiancee and close family friend, Theresa Turley. Born in Crown Point, Ind., Joshua graduated with honors from Deep Creek High School, Class of 2004. He played soccer for 12 years with the DC Community League. Joshua pursued a degree in theater from Tidewater Community College and was to graduate in May 2008. Joshua was in countless performances around the Hampton Roads area and employed at Best Buy as a wireless expert for four years. Joshua is survived by his parents, Douglas and Linda; brothers, Raif of Lorton, Va., Cody and Cory of Chesapeake; maternal grandmother, Jeanne Jennings along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephew. He is also survived by Amanda Ludwig the light of his life! Visitation will be today at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Faith Alive Ministries, 423 Shell Road, Chesapeake, to be followed by burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deep Creek Ruritan Club, donations will be used to benefit Joshua's passion of soccer in the Deep Creek community. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
