 Hall of Fame Nominee's needed
Do you know somebody that should be in the Deep Creek Alumni Hall of Fame?  When you nominate an individual please tell us why you believe this person belongs in the Deep Creek Alumni Hall of Fame.  There are many deserving alumni, however when the committee votes on an individual they need to know something about them.  The more you say the better the chances.
Deadline is April 15, 2008

Committee Members Needed
Need committee members from various class years to look over and judge nominees for induction into the Deep Creek Alumni Hall of Fame.  We presently have seven and would like at least 10. Please email me @ dchornetsalumni@aol.com if interested.

Deep Creek Alumni Hall of Fame

The Deep Creek Alumni Hall of Fame was established for the following reasons:

• To recognize graduates of Deep Creek High School who have achieved and contributed to their school, community, and country in the years following graduation.
• By recognizing these graduates we can provide positive role models for the present day students in the Deep Creek High School.
• Recognizing these people is a good and worthy exercise.

Criteria for Induction

The nominees, living or deceased, must have been a graduate of Deep Creek High School, and graduated at least ten(10) years prior to nomination.  The nominee must have demonstrated significant contributions to their school, community and country, with emphasis on post secondary achievements in the following areas:

1. Education (degrees, educational honors, publications)
2. Community/civic involvement
3. Affiliations (professional, community, church, leadership positions)
4. Honors, awards, offices held, publications (other than education)
5. Family accomplishments
6. Other appropriate achievements not listed above which merit consideration

Hall of Fame Induction Timeline

 Jan 1 - April 15    All nominations for consideration of induction in the current year must be received by the committee. Send all nominations to webmaster@deepcreekalumni.com and put HOF in subject line.

May 15                 Final deadline for any additional information the committee may require while reviewing the submitted nominations.

June 1                   The selection committee will notify the inductees of the recognition.

 

June 15                   The names and/ or photographs of inductees will be posted on the website.
